Janelle Abbott and Camilla Carper (FEMAIL) embody their long-distance friendship through this remote collaboration. Each time a garment passes through the other’s hands, material is added, subtracted, debated, and assigned a monetary value through a complex equation, grounded in their reality. It’s one of the more transparent takes on a subjective practice that we’ve seen. Some might call the aesthetic fantasy, though we’ve found it to be pretty clear-eyed, all things considered. |
